There is good news
Feb. 9th, 2016 09:35 pmI needed it because it feels like life is kicking me when I'm down. I messed up with my appointment so I had to cancel class today to make it. I'm okay with that. It snowed heavy north and east of me so those students didn't have to come out. I had to do both the nerve conduction/EMG today. Basically first they test my nerves by zapping them with a taser. Okay not quite that many volts but the device looks and works similar. Nothing like being zapped with electricity until your muscles are jumping at 830 in the morning.
Then they jam needles into your muscles and repeat the electrification. That said, that barely hurt beyond the IM needle prick. the taser thing isn't comfortable.
But the good news is my nerves are fine. THat means with work I CAN recover my muscles on the right.
The downside is yesterday when I was talking to my PTA (who is the wife of the head of IT at my school. go country living where everyone is related to everyone) that the locking up of my hip is most likely due to a torn labrum (the hip cartilage) sigh. That's not good.
Also not good, me trying to get on the damn floor to do my PT with this busted up knee. DItto getting back up off it.
The other good news is I got a little grant from the Provost to do my research. It's only 150$ but I was paying for this out of my own pocket so...
I'm in such a depressed head space. I even came home and went back to bed this morning (and got tail whipped in the eye by an ungrateful feline).
There is some fun stuff though like this Deadpools most homoerotic moments
And from my friend, ES: accidental dildos & New Star Trek
My parents and I were very disappointed in last night's X-Files ( why oh why did they have to )
One of the funnier scenes of this week’s Magicians.
Still loving Agent Carter ( but one thing tonight didn't work for me at all )
And last but not least Laissez les bons temps rouler! Happy Mardi Gras everyone
