Lobotomies.

Novelist Mindy McGinnis gave a lecture on mental health in the 1800s and lobotomies today at hte library. Nothing I didn't already know but it was fun and she just did a story heavy on heroin use and is willing to let me access to her research for my own story. Yay for that. It was a nice afternoon out.

I also had a nice surprise waiting for me at work. One of my research students who had graduated last year came for a visit. He and his sister were accepted by three med schools and he wanted to tell me which he'd chosen and to thank me. Those are the moments that make it worth it.

Still no con report, still exhausted and I have work to get online for students AND the copy edits back on my story and I don't want my camp nano word count to be zero so back to it for me.

And in spite of pimping fluffbingo I think I forgot to sign up for it. Well duh.

My fafda that I got at Jungle Jim's came with green chile achar and a chutney. Haven't tried the chutney yet but the achar is good but man it has sneak attack heat.
