Blue

Blue is a tranquil color that is associated with a variety of things including: balance, discovery, peace, calm, openness, patience, honor, grace, trust, depression, recovery, prophecy, respect, empathy, flexibility, and water.

Blue is easily one of my favorite colors. I can't think of a shade of blue I don't like. Blue skies, waters, flowers, they're all so lovely. Blue glass, is there anything better than cobalt glass? I covet every piece I see. I have plenty of blue clothing, blue blankets, Mom has blue pillows I'm sitting against right now. Sapphires are one of my faves.

I have wonderful feelings about blue in my fandoms. First to mind, much like green, is Science blue and Mr. Spock (You too Bones!). I have a Blue medical shirt. I think of Beverly Crusher and Dr. Polaski on Next Generation. I was still in college when that aired and it meant so much to see women doctors on a starship in their blues.

How about the dark blue-black of Nightcrawler's skin? I've always found him fascinating.

Oh the blue of the Amestrian military's uniform. I don't think I'll ever tire of thinking about Roy, Maes and Riza (though the uniform itself isn't that spiffy). Fullmetal Alchemist remains one of my favorite manga of all time and when you consider that I've been reading/watching manga/anime since the 70s that's saying something.

While I'm a dark eye fan two of my best characters as far as telling me fanfic goes, have the most beautiful blue eyes. Connor on Angel had lovely eyes. Average looking, no doubt but those eyes. And Malcolm Bright on Prodigal Son, holy hell those eyes. Tom Payne does so much with them too as Malcolm. His expressions convey emotional so well. See what I mean
