How about some happy stuff
May. 12th, 2021 07:40 pmI do have really good friends. One of my Prodigal Son friends sent me some Art Trading Cards to help cheer me up. That was such a nice gesture. I love them, especially the X-Files and Star Trek ones.
Another friend, Flippy, sent me dragon bloodstone earrings (from a creator working to help dogs in the Asian meat markets) They're lovely and I can't wait to be well enough to go somewhere to wear them.
And I'm betting it's
spikedluv who sent me the Prodigal Son travel mug from Redbubble. If so thank you so much. It's covered in fan Gil Arroyo art (love Gil so much) and the best part is the art is from one of my Prodigal Son friends so that was really nice.
Other things I'm grateful for, Dr. Epstein, the vascular surgeon who saved my leg. His office is bending over backwards so I can be seen on the same day as my orthopedic surgeon (because I don't feel up to two or three days in a hotel to see both docs). The problem is they're so overbooked they can't get me in for testing but his office literally called the orthopedic surgeon (to be fair they do work together in the same building and hospital) to see if they could reschedule me and they're still hammering it out. How often does that happen?
Last Night's Prodigal Son was killer and the #saveprodigalson hash tag trended in the US, UK and Canada over 40K tweets in an hour. Wow. And if you want to help save the show, you can sign the petition here. if you don't mind signing something on change.org
