Write Every Day - Day Six

How's it going? This is a drive by posting. I'll be back with commentary for all your amazing accomplishments later. I'm going to the comic book store (since I can't go hiking like I usually do thanks to my injury) and since it (and the accompanying mall) are 70 miles away (the closet indoor mall to me) I'll be back with writing at some point.

I got 977 words on Bound by Fear when I got home tonight.

Labor Day

Was basically me making sure some poor retail worker had to work the day. I had to go to the comic book store. Unfortunately the manager wasn't there so no one knows (which frankly they SHOULD) if the DC/Vertigo (or whatever they're calling it now) were put back or just ended as I know that the revival failed. So I only had a few of those. I put back most of the Buffy books. I haven't read most of them for almost two years now. I kept Willow and got the Giles and Faith ones and...I'm wondering if they didn't put them back now that I think about the cost. Sigh. However there is so few books I want any more I'm not sure I should keep a pull list. According the salesclerk there is a paper shortage and they can't even get manga there (I buy mine elsewhere because I get a discount, sorry comic book store)

I went to Michael's deciding to splurge on the Lemox Halloween village homes...but they had just one. It was cute and I bought it on sale but I was like WHERE is the big halloween village you always put up. They didn't get any. Wow. They had almost no Hallween anything and it was super overpriced.

Went to Macy's. Had some cute shirts and skirt, all dark blue and light weight. SO light weight you could see my panties and bra through it. Um no.

Went to Home Goods for Halloween stuff, got a cute black and orange glass pumpkin candy dish but I might give it to Mom for Christmas. The Witches Broom ride or die club wood sign (which weighed a ton) I almost bought because I must have grabbed the weird bell thing's price tag. When I saw the real price I'm like nope. Don't need it.

Books a Million had Vinland Saga. Snatched that up. I usually buy it online because it's cheaper there (even from BaM) but eh I didn't want to wait. Well this is always my last stop when I'm there (it's 70 miles back to home from here) because it has a restroom and of course the coffee shop. Well the bathroom was closed for repairs and you had to use the mall one...completely on the opposite side of the mall. I get my coffee and drive next door to Macy's

Their toilet is upstairs in the children's area (which is where it is in most clothing stores for obvious reasons) I went up the escalator figuring I'd come down the elevator. Well the elevator was broken. Good to know NO sign downstairs saying that. I have a fear of escalators to begin with and this one was going SO fast I could never have shifted my legs fast enough without falling on it. Now there was a sign UPSTAIRS saying if you need the elevator asking a sales clerk (thanks for that Macy's) I found one and she took me on the service elevator. OMG and said it's been broken for over a month. Way to go Macy's. Next time drive over to the other side of the mall Dana.

It was a nice drive up and back but it's 150 miles round trip and I did all that walking so now my leg is painful and weak and I'm exhausted so I had better be careful so I don't fall.
