Write Every Day - Day Five

How's it going? It's raining here. I have to curate my online exam which has a couple of questions going awry. Gah. I'll be doing my editing and writing once I sort my students out. And those writing links will be coming later.


I added 1008 words to Price of Grief in the editing and 935 words tonight on Bound by Fear.

Writerly Ways

Before I get into the writing post here's today's fuckery I was nearly hit twice by the same vehicle 10 miles apart. He forced me off the highway getting onto it and then realized he missed his exit and nearly slammed into me on the exit ramp.

Last night my brain pulled it's usual delightful, 'here's the best idea/line/scene' right before you fall asleep and naturally I didn't get up to write it down. I remember about half of it (which is about half more than usual) so what do YOU do when your brain serves up a great tidbit just before bed/in the shower/behind the wheel?

I did try the tablet on the bed stand but my sleepy brain and bad handwriting made that less than helpful. I tried the recorder in the car but once I did that my brain offered up nothing in the car until I took the recorder out (My brain is a dick). I'm curious to other ways of trying to deal with this so good ideas aren't lose to the ether.
