HOW is my time already over? Where did September fly off to? I'll have the final tally up tomorrow and thanks for being here with me. I did forget to ask for your favorite writing resources so plop them into comments if you want. I'm actually enjoying allbingo because I'm good with prompts. How's it going? I edited two more chapters on my whumptober thing before bed. I have work to do before I write tonight and I'm adjusting to my new bifocals. The jury is out on how I like them.

two ridiculously long days

Yesterday Driving home and I saw this really pretty bird. It's soaring along...wait does it see me? I'm in a big red SUV surely it sees me.

It did not. The crunch was awful. At least it was quick.

I also snapped out on my nursing students after the third time of telling them to pull up their fucking masks. I explained in no uncertain terms they will be escorted out of the hospital setting if they won't wear a mask and if you hate masks you're in the WRONG field. You have to wear them all the time even when we're not in Covid times


Today was a nightmare. I got my new bifocals and walking with them is probably going to murder me because I have half close up and half far because I walk looking at the ground more than I ever realized.

And I can't figure out WHY Rite Aid Pharmacy sent the wrong insulins to my CVS. They didn't give me this wacky insulins when I was in PA but everyone is wrong. I had to call the doc twice to get it fixed.

Then I got that same bill back from the ambulance and it's unchanged. I call my insurance and they said yes the company DID put in for them but they're out of network so they only paid 300 which they had mailed to me. I did get that and I also quietly went off on the person asking HOW can an ambulance be out of network. WHY is this even a thing? I asked her did the insurance expect me to bleed out while trying to figure out what ambulance to call. This isn't funny. You are playing with lives and financial ruin. Also according to her if they are in network they have 90 days to put in a claim (out of network they don't limit them which is also fucking moronic) so they have NO CLAIM from the local ambulance nor the lifeflight.

This means I could be looking at thousands of dollars more in bills. (though at some point I have to meet my out of network deductible). They claim that the ambulance's allowable charge should be 300$ but if I talk to the ambulance service they might deduct some from my 2 thousand dollar bill. I did that with the other one. So I call them and they said they would resubmit to my insurance (what that will do I have no idea) They'll knock off about 500$ if I pay it in one sum. They claim 300$ is way under they also said almost NO ambulance service is in network for any insurance (fuckers) And so I asked them HOW do you justify 2 grand for a 3 mile trip where all you did was take my blood pressure and pulse. Even she seemed stunned that the bill was SO high for them doing literally nothing. I'm looking into patient advocates which will probably go nowhere but this is insanity. I'm also wondering if I wrote up an article on it where I could send it to.

I went to the laundry here for the RV park. Remember last week me saying I have no fucking clue what those people did to the washer but it looked like they washed a circular saw that was running because it had sheered the plastic. Well now it's locked with a numerical key pad. I'm going to go talk to my former landlord. He might give me the code he might not. Hell he might not be allowing it's use period. In theory he has cameras in there. I hate these people. I hate that RV park entirely because he is a soft touch and he lets every down on their luck person park there which is admirable but he also does no investigation and the reason several of them are down on their luck is they are drug addicts and they keep coming over here robbing us.
