A little bit hard on the heart

So today I went for the MRI. I won't know the results until thanksgiving week. I did get the bone density results. They are normal. I am glad.


We had an art show at work today (ha, I'm putting one in my nano right now I forgot about this). It was by a friend who had been cut from faculty in the huge cut half the faculty lunacy (and then they had the balls to try and ask him back after they realized cutting art violated accreditation). He has been doing an ink sketch a day for a decade now. 365 of them were hung. We were catching up and even though he's out west in a better place than this, he misses here, raised his family here and that hurt just a little to hear and see that pain. Also I miss seeing him on campus.


Things I learned this year that Saint Nicolas was from Turkey (I always thought Germany) and pieces of him are everywhere including in Pittsburgh. Mom is a huge Santa fan so I was teasing her on FB. Mom want to go to St Anthony's in Troy Hill. She's like I've already been there. Blink. Did you see St. Nicolas's bone?? Yes. How did I not know this?



Ah so the reason no one has said anything about the nano snippets I've been posting is because I FORGOT to post them except for day one.

Snippet- “Have you seen anything?” Grace called to Alessia.

“Not yet. Do you think he’s actually inside the house?” Alessa turned on heel, studying the brightly lit frat house.

“It would be a good hunting ground. Drunks are easy picking,” Laura replied. “But I can’t remember how far a Näcken can get from the water. I guess I should have paid more attention to Javier when he was doing his monster encyclopedia thing.”

“I know they can’t go too far but that house is only a hundred yards or so,” Grace gestured to the back door which led in to the basement bar the Chi brothers kept.
