The best 8 AM meeting
Nov. 19th, 2021 10:16 pmAll I can say is that something at work I wasn't happy with got the kibosh put on it today. Yay
Which was the only good news. The less said about today's verdict the better. I expected it mind you.
I have such an amazing sinus headache today so no fanfic recs.
Snippet - Vivian knew what she was doing, talking to someone at the front desk who directed them to a waiting room in the surgical wing. She sat Grace and Alessia down as she and Javier went to the nursing station. When they turned back to Grace and Alessia, their eyes were haunted. Alessia’s heart fell and Grace grabbed her hand, squeezing hard.
Vivian sat next to Grace and Javier sat next to Alessia hemming them in. “I’m sorry.”
“No, oh no,” Grace wailed.
“Are they both dead?” Alessia asked, the word sticking her throat.
“Laura is gone. Dan is still in surgery,” Javier said and Grace wept. Alessia bit her lip, trying to keep her own emotions in check.
“Is he going to make it?” she asked.
“They don’t know.”
Alessia covered her mouth, sucking in deep but ragged breaths. She couldn’t lose two friends tonight. They weren’t even on a hunt. “Why was the demon there?”
31405 / 50000 words. 63% done!
