Beginning to think my hand is cursed
Mar. 7th, 2022 10:07 pmLet me sum up Pre op visit - ice and snow to the point I shouldn't have gone but I did The first surgery was iced out. On the second try it snowed but I made it, stitches out today, RAIN and flooding. I barely made it out of here. Water was everywhere because the rain was just that hard.
I got in and the stitches hurt like hell because lots of nerves there especially the two closest to the hand. SHe couldn't get them out. It's swollen and hard but I'm sure it'll remain so for a while.
I lucked out at the big Kroger's (which still isn't as nice as the one in Athens but nicer than my own) they had the Beyond Burger (the pea kind, not the soy) on manager specials so got two pounds for the price of one. My finger is now pinching like it still has stitches and annoying me.
I get the donated clothing into the veterans bin which I've been trying to do for two frakking months now. Go me.
Get home, the waters have receded. Yay for that.
I shower, get my glasses off and really look at my finger (as my contacts + readers aren't that good) She MISSED two stitches at the top. Cut them but didn't pull them (hiding under blood) so I pulled those. The area that she could barely get them out was fine. The rest gaped wide. It healed as if it hadn't been stitched at all. Maybe I used it too much. I'm going to have a big scar and if I'm not careful, this is going to bust open. I am going to dress it for a few more days until it toughens.
