Mom wanted us to go to see the life-sized nutcracker display in Steubenville OH. It's on the streets for a few blocks. We had never heard of this until one of Mom's friends posted it on FB. It ran from just before Thanksgiving til this Sunday. Unfortunately there were tons of events we didn't know about.
Steubenville was a steel town and the home of the famous, expensive Steuben glass. but those are things of the past and the place is a tad sketchy these days. This is a way to bring life back to a dying town and it seems to be working at least a little.
There were so many nutcrackers but not as many stores to go into as you'd like sadly. We did find a fantastic coffee shop Leonardo It was actually part of three shops in an old building (including the Drosselmeyer nutcracker shop) It had a da Vinci theme and some Tesla stuff too. If i lived there I'd be there often.
So here under the cut will be ( holiday pictures, my haunted house and nutcrackers )
