It was a weird night

The sugar played up and I didn't get to sleep until about 3 AM. THe good news is Rocket, the furry dipshit, decided it was too cold and stayed in all night...and then sent me his pee-dreams. No lie. I was dreaming my little dog wanted to go out the dog door (looked like a fairy door) to pee but it was locked (because it opened to the balcony and I didn't want him to fall off). I woke up to him crying outside the door to go out.

I've been having fannish thoughts. I was thinking that I am getting very tired of fight- manga/anime. I've been watching S6 of My Hero Academia and I've gotten pretty bored (not as bored as the last season of Attack on Titan but close). It has been one long battle (the same battle) for like eight episodes (more if I take last season into account). Character growth slows to a crawl and my interest wanders, the more battle screams, the further my interest goes.

I compare it mentally to The Owlhouse which has battles too but it's balanced with the rest of the story telling. That's richer, more engaging.

I felt the same with the last Star Trek movie, ditto Avengers' Endgame. Yes it's all loud and splashy but it's not necessarily engaging.

Am I alone in this?

And Ooo, my coffee shop has their chocolate covered strawberry lattes back for Valentine's Day. Keep me out of there.
