You're like a little kid
Jul. 18th, 2023 10:41 pmso says mom just because I walked into Costco and started crying I want him I want him I want him! I mean
LOOK at this magnificent beast
250$, 10 feet tall, he needs to be mine. Joanne's Fabrics had a 10 foot skeleton that didn't move for 500$ (and already sold out of the first round). The ONLY thing stopping me is where would I store him? In my rat infested storage unit? Sigh. I want him.
So yeah mom and I were out and about. After looking at fabrics/victorian patterns at Joanne's it sinks in it would cost me nearly the same to BUY it from this seller on ETSY I've been eyeballing and embellish it and/or make the crinoline. Hell I'm not even sure how this artist is making money giving the cost of fabric. The one she makes I really want is sadly taffeta and that's a hard pass for me.
32 photos from the James Webb telescope gorgeous, loved it
So I don't have a lot of fannish enthusiasm tonight but I do have something to talk about because it keeps me from spiraling which is what my brain is trying tonight.
As you know The Owl House is my latest fannish obsession. I got these this week.

Adagio tea (very nice online tea source) has blends where you can make fannish blends. I have long wanted to do that. It first occurred to me with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Fullmetal Alchemist but both had plenty of teas already and I didn't know exactly how it was done anyhow and since there were so many blends on offer I didn't pursue learning how.
Then I got into (and still am naturally) Prodigal Son and there weren't any. I did start looking into it but then my accident happened and you know the battle to get back on my feet. I never got to find out would I need to buy samples of everything I wanted to blend and do this by trial and error or what.
So there are a couple The Owl House blends and I got mine from here As you can see in the pic I have Amity/Luz and I was wanting Hunter/Willow for reasons but Willow is mixed with chamomile and that's the problem with these fannish blends.
So many of them end up blending chamomile, rooibos, and other herbals. I don't like them but more importantly chamomile and other herbals CAN interact with medications like those for depression and blood thinners. Chamomile is a blood thinner problem. I can't have it (sorry Willow) While I could surely test a sample without much harm why bother? I can't have it in the long run and the samples aren't cheap.
Maybe I shall look into this further. Maybe you have limits on what you can blend (wouldn't surprise me because some teas are pricier than others) I would like to play with this. That said, I have only had time to try Luz and Hunter. Luz's is okay, the blueberry is a bit faint so it's mostly lemon. Hunter does taste a bit like a cinnamon roll and that's fitting because he is one. I want to try the others from this seller.
As for The Owl House I've been at it about 14 months now and there are 38 stories right here I only wrote a few last year because I'd only seen S1. Once I got S2 (and then 3) it took off. Enjoy.
