All I want to do is start digging into my research but of course I can't do all that. I need to prioritize first. The all female colleges of the late 1800s are my number one concern. I need to contact the universities that swallowed them up. Is there anything left to visit? If no, then book work it is, if yes, then I probably need to go out there.
fauxklore sent me a book to look at (Thank you) and luckily the library had it plus another one on the same material. Both dated 2021 which oddly if I had done my research as originally planned I might have been able to have one out then too (I would like to make this into a book) But here's the stunning thing: Elizabeth Blackwell has been my hero since my freshman year in college in 1985-86 (Because I can't remember which semester I took Women in History). but until today upon looking at that book rec I had NO IDEA she had a sister, Emily, who was also a doctor because in everything I read about her not one person mentioned her sister. WTF? I am both embarrassed I didn't know and angered that some of the books I've read hid her away like two sisters couldn't have accomplished this.
Speaking of women,
halfamoon is currently running to showcase all those lovely female characters.
I managed a story today. The Owl House
