Writerly Ways
Jun. 2nd, 2024 09:57 pmMade it to WV. The whole drive was me replaying the same scene in my head for four hours (but at least the predicted rains did not happen, it was nice and cool) Two things occurred to me on the drive. I really need to not trust my brain when it wakes me up with a great idea. I had the perfectly emotionally gutting idea to end my
wipbigbang story and the resolution. I remember the resolution but NOT the gutting. Ugh.
Also the writer's imagination is something else. I wasn't 3 miles from home when I saw a twin bed mattress in a black garbage bag on the side of the road and for like 100 miles more I'm like 'but what if there was a body too...'
Hopefully (in non writing news) I'll get caught up with comments soon. I owe like 2 weeks worth. ..
