I'm already so over this semester
Sep. 2nd, 2026 11:00 pmI don't really want to talk about but between asinine decisions by staff and really bad health shit for my friends this semester is already so rough I'm somewhere beyond stressed out.
But enough of that. Got another story rejection today on my historic vampire story. That was sad. I like this story and thought it had a chance. Alas. I'll just have to keep my eyes out for more vampire friendly open calls.
Speaking of fiction let's just do what I'm reading wednesday because life is terrible and I'm tired of complaining.

What I Just Finished Reading:
Absolutely nothing
What I am Currently Reading:
In the Halls of the Dead - a historical/fantasy version of london, horror and it's weird so far and slower than I want it to be.
The Theory of Death - A Faye Kellerman mystery to fulfill a prompt and it's all right but nothing to write home about.
The Incident of the Other Mother for spooky season and the horror book club. This is creeping me the fuck out and that's not easy.
The Invisible Man - I'm conflicted about YouTube half the time. but I found a few (real) readers of Victorian literature. I'm not 100% sure this is one of them but I have never read this book. So far it's both nothing like any film adaptation and slow AF.
What I Plan to Read Next: I bumped Nowhere to here as library books are rolling in for spooky season ditto these two The Mystic and the Missing Girl by Vikki VanSickle and The Invisible Library
