So my tooth was cracked after all
Dec. 14th, 2016 10:52 pmI haven't been whining about it as you have to be tired of me whining all the time. However, that tooth I broke back in March and was bonded in May? Well the bonding cracked and crap has been getting trapped in there. I knew it felt wrong. Hopefully this time it's fixed correctly.
But that took out a chunk of my day and the same will be true of tomorrow and Friday. I am not ever going to get this place in shape. It's frustrating me. It's worsening my depression and I'm just so over it.
I did get to spend a 10$ gift card from my publisher to buy some new ebooks I'll never read. I like that their webpage says hey already purchased this because damn if I didn't just rebuy something I own from a different book club. head desk. SOmeone will be getting that for Christmas.
Hey flight rising. is welcoming new players if you want to come play with dragons. It's a bit more interactive than dragon cave. I have all the genes and will be happy to sell you baby dragons cheap with nice genes (colors is a whole other thing). I'm cornerofmadness there too.
And here is a Ted talk by J.K. Rowling and the lessons failure teaches. Worth the listen to.
I barely have the energy or heart to give music for Day 14 so I'll use another favorite group who just so happened to have a Christmas special tonight, Pentatonix. In some ways I'm shocked at their popularity because of how unusual their music is (again often a cappella) and that's not normally the sort of thing that flies. I've been following them for years. I believe
evil_little_dog was the first to point them out to me. Here is one of their new originals which is actually much unhappier than their usual but that's how I feel.
and here is one of my all time favorite Christmas songs. There is something about this song that I simply love. Speaking of Christmas, I did get most of my cards out today.

Date: 2016-12-15 11:24 am (UTC)Anyway, I'm glad your cards are ready to be mailed!
Tomorrow night, I'll probably be working on cookies. I still need to make purchases for people and figure out what I have and what I don't have for everyone. And get 3-4 packages ready to mail, too. Maybe I'll use one of the boxes or two or so for that.

Date: 2016-12-15 03:56 pm (UTC)Thanks for the Ted talk link - plan to listen at lunch. And thanks for sharing so many great links this year. I've learned a lot thanks to you.
Love Pentatonix too. Their rendition of Mary Did You Know is a favorite of mine. Then again, I'm also partial to Barenaked Ladies rendition of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
Can't seem to hit the spirit this year. Maybe with more songs and a break in a few days...

Date: 2016-12-15 04:45 pm (UTC)You're welcome. My friend Betty is the one who really gets all those links. It's very helpful.
I haven't had the spirit since I lived in FL. It seemed to kill it entirely. I enjoy Pentatonix's stuff
