Mostly because I have a low blood sugar headache that won't go away. I had to be fasting for blood sugar tests then had to eat at an expensive coffee house (only place outside of the hospital itself that was near enough to eat after the blood draw and get back for the dietician).

At least the phlebotomist believed me when I said start with the butterfly needle (I have deep and fragile vessels). The dietician gave me things to consider like sugar isn't the only thing to look at when buying food. fiber prevents sharp rises in sugar levels so high fiber food is important and I'm already half way there so now I know more. And they gave me free (Florida made me buy my last one) a freestyle glucometer!! This is the one where I can test from all over my body so it doesn't hurt, instead of my fingers. Wheee!!! no more swollen painful fingers Hello to arms looking like I do heroin.

And one of the schools I was really interested in called me today. I called them back. Here's hoping they call with an interview tomorrow. I figure I'm not all official in OH yet so... but seriously I applied for this two months ago. I'm amazed how many schools I applied for in Feb/March are just starting to make decisions, nothing like waiting til the nth hour

And I need to get working on my first lyric story AND the damn threesome fic. For some reason Connor and Faith won't screw. I can't believe it. He's being shy. She's being, no kissing, no foreplay, nothing that suggests this is more than me using you for sex. Can I kill them? And hey I met my goal for the week for original fic but since I'm packing, I'll back my total down for this next week to only 1500

YAY for the free glucometer. My dad has one of those where it tests all over. He uses it in the same place he gives himself insulin. His legs!

Do you use your abdomen as well (for the insulin, I mean)? That is the first place we use for subcutaneous injections in ICU.
Getting control of your diet is so important in dealing with diabetes. Of course, I know you know this. Sorry, the nurse in me surfaced..

I'm not on insulin (thankfully) Yeah and my diet is pretty much under control thru the things I knew when I did all the diabetic education in my practice but I didn't know ALL the diet stuff so it was helpful to hear about upping the fiber (which I'm already doing but I can do more)
