Because interesting things always happen when I'm packing to move, right now about three tornados are on the ground near me. Luckily they appear to be moving westwardly but if you don't hear from me later today and tomorrow, just assume they changed their mind. I think it'll be okay. It looks pretty normal out there if you discount the waving birch trees bent over....If I have to go into that spider infested basement...blech.

Ah well, back to making puttanesca sauce and packing. At least this makes it a little more interesting.

Please don't blow away.

I suppose tying yourself to a chair won't work.

this flimsy thing, not likely. still no lightning. The tornados changed their mind and now they're coming east (in other words, my way)

on the other hand the sugo alla puttanesca is good even if I didn't have any capers left.

Yikes. Batten down the hatches. And stay on-line until it throws you off.

Huh. Can you tell I'm a California girl who knows just about zip about tornadoes? And that's after living in the Midwest for six years. I was in a hurricane once in Houston. And maybe one or two earthquakes I can barely remember. These things almost always look huger from a distance than they do close up.

I think it's okay. they've stopped with the warnings and it's raining like mad now but I dropped half the spaghetti in the sink draining it so i'm ticked.

Sigh. I wish I lived in a place where they had weather. It's so dull around here. Sixty degrees, windy and gray. All the time.

thanks. They have shifted east (i.e. now they're heading for me) but still I think I'll be okay.
