That wasn't worth it

We tried the Rana papradelle and braised short rib dish we got at Costco. Blech. It's like an Italian take on beef stroganoff. The sauce was okay. The tiny bits of beef weren't bad but the bigger chunks were more or less stew meat and fat. That's one dish we won't try again.

On the other hand, they had roasted chestnuts in bags that are yummy and the price on prosciutto was great.

I visited the aunts today. That was nice. However, there is drama (of course), Aunt S2's aunt died (S2 is mom's best friend not my real aunt) and her uncle told her not to bother him any more, in fact hadn't called her to tell her his aunt died, didn't tell the aunt's sister she died or any of the other family nor the wealthy friend who has given them SO MUCH money and barred them all from the funeral. Aunt s2 is taking it better than I thought, better than the wealthy lady is. I hope he's happy with his drug addicted grandson who'll probably kill him in his sleep once he realizes the house isn't being left to him.

Thanks. I just feel sorry for Mom's friend because that was a super crappy thing he did to his family.
