I did not go to the seminar. I got the schedule today and all I was scheduled to do was the 'break out' session and talk to biology students. Hell they can come see me in my damn office for that. I wasn't sitting around for two hours for that. I told the other two new hires who had also said yes they could represent for me because it counts as service to the university for their tenure portfolio (they didn't know that). I went and got my pills, my library books and the crap I forgot for the potluck tomorrow.
My voice went halfway through class. I don't know why but it was bad.
