GIP and some birthday thoughts

Thanks to everyone sending me their birthday wishes and points at icon. Look at what catlove  made me! It's so pretty (and no, Rivin, it's not Penguin Boy no matter the resemblance)

It's been a blah day birthday wise, eating alone in a restaurant with my book then coming home to an old Conway Twitty song that reminded me of the one thing I don't have and never have had and that I might want. A job that wasn't horribly stressful and a family to belong to that's of my making and it's like wow, thanks for nothing biological clock. It this your way of telling me the witching hour is approaching?

My parents forgot my birthday until very late (spoke to mom 3 times before the last call and she didn't remember) Neither did my brother so thanks to the friends that did.

Happy Birthday! I've turned off the "birthday announcement" button on my LJ, so I never know when it's someone's birthday till WAY too late. :-(

Spent some time today waiting at the doctor's office and took some of your Spike/Dru fic I'd had bound at Staples (with a pretty cover - roses, since I know that Dru loves roses. ... Don't ask how I know that piece of information; I've no idea; I just know.).

Re-read Radio Play, New York Nights, and Never Say Die. Honestly, they were SUCH a fun couple! You know, I really like the way you captured their energy and charisma - not to mention the creepy and evil.

Spike/Dru. Sigh. I wish they'd start talking to me again. Those last three over exposure years for Spike really damaged my muse. She's slowly coming back though. And I think Roses are very Dru.

See that didn't because I had my medical practice and I thought, it's all gonna be glorious from here. Now 8 years later, no medical practice, not sure of the new job and still single, things are looking grim.
