Went to see the last Star Wars movie tonight with the parents, as a birthday gift since they took me to the first one for my 10th birthday. Well we get there and the website times were wrong. The movie isn't starting until nearly 9pm. and it was supposed to start at 7. Well, we live some 15 miles away so we decide to see Batman Begins since I heard it was good.

I hate this theatre. We have two theatres, one that is one of the oldest multiplexes around coming out in the late 70's and is sorely in need of revamping and this new one. The seats are comfortable but what I hate is half the time they play the movie so LOUD that you're literally in pain. Tonight was a pain night. There was so much distortion from the loudness you could barely understand Liam Neesom. And then half way through the movie the picture and sound breaks and we get seventies porn filler music with our black screen...then our movie picture screen...then the music goes and we start making up our own lines for Bruce and his D.A. girl. (turns out lightning hit the building frying ALL the theatres). When the sound came back it was at the right level. Afterwards we bitch along with everyone about the broken movie and the loudness of it (we lost about 15 minutes of the movie) and they gave us free tickets. So we'll go see Anakin next week and pray the sound isn't unbearable. We all really liked the movie.

If you've seen the movie look under the cut and tell me if I missed anything dreadfully important Okay it broke just as Scarecrow fritzed Batman with the toxin and we got it back just as Batman rescued the D.A. after she got sprayed. Did I miss anything vital?

Um, not really, he uses his gizmo to fly up on some rooftime, manages to get his cell phone out to call Alfred. Alfred picks him up while he's hallucinating and all that jazz in the back of the car. Then he wakes up, we find he's been out for 2 days. But Morgan Freeman came to help, and came up with an antidote. He gives Bruce 2 vials of the antidote, one for Gordon to take, and one to make more supplies.

Katie Holmes goes to the asylum, to see Falconi, to see if he's really crazy, because she finds it rather convenent, he's all of a sudden crazy. She goes down near the basement, sees where Scarecrow and his men are pouring the poison into the water supply, she runs he sprays her, Batman saves the day. She almost doesn't make it.

thank you kindly. I was wondering where the antidote came from but figured Fox and Bruce made it somehow

Yep, what ba4ever said. (and it's batman begins, not batman returns, batman returns is the one with Jim Carrey as the riddler :P) I quite liked the film I think, I wanted to see Star Wars too but the cinema isn't showing it anymore -_-

No, that's Batman Forever. Batman Returns is the second one, featuring Catwoman and The Penguin. ;)

I pretty much liked the first Keaton one, the Kilmer one and now this new one with Bale

Yep, the Kilmer one is Batman Forever I think, that one and this new one are my two favourites. The second one wasn't too bad and the first one I never really got a chance to see properly. The fourth one disappointed me rather, especially as I liked Poison Ivy's character in the comics and the film was rather a let down. And George Clooney does not a Batman make.

I was so disappointed that the short, curvy poison ivy was played by Uma Thurman....

I do not understand the appeal of Uma. I think she's incredibly homely

Me too, it rather spoiled the film that they didn't represent her properly.

I love your icon btw, it looks like its from Pride and Prejudice?

THanks. Actually those are just some candid shots of Vinnie after his movie...I think it was Dandelion

You didn't miss much. Basically, Bruce has hell of a hangover after getting back on his feet thanks to an antidote provided by Morgan Freeman's character. He knows that the Scarecrow is up to something and wonders if it can be mass-produced.

Then the DA goes to see the mafia guy -Tom Wilkinson- at the asylum because she finds it odd that he's got mental health issues -she thinks it's a legal strategy they're using- and Scarecrow uses the spray on her.

But is sucks to have no sound for 15 minutes! It's good they gave you free tickets. It's the least they could do. And Star Wars rules! :D

Batman Begins was very good, too. Liam Neeson/Bruce was all master/padawan. :D I totally loved that, lol.

Yeah I know. I kept calling him Qui-Jong (I can't spell his name in Batman anyhow) Luckily my SF geek parents knew who I meant.

So good, didn't miss much. Yes I liked this movie loads.
