Something new to worry on
Feb. 26th, 2019 09:49 pmKanda's blood tests came back okay. No diabetes BUT he's toeing the line for chronic kidney failure. The vet wants to follow him. I'm not happy about that obviously. going to research if I can do mods on his diet that might help.
THey did have to shave his neck to get blood
Tomorrow is another big depressing faculty meeting. Sigh.
My hip has been bugging me but today it caused my back to go out. In SO much pain.
Today we had trivia night. We won. Found out one friend is going to retire rather than put up with the nonsense going on. I figured that was coming.
don't.) Now to find a reader for it.
spikesgirl58 nominated me to post covers of seven books I love - one cover a day for a week. There is to be no explanations or reviews, just covers. Each time I post I will ask someone else to take up the challenge. Obviously it goes without saying that if I tag you and you don't want to it, you don't have to do it. Please do not feel obligated to join in.
Book Seven. (Okay I'm commenting in this because it's another friend's book so check it out)

And here's another snippet of original fiction from Xenolith this time. This was my nano novel the fantasy/mystery thing if you want to take a peek at a very rough draft.
Chief Round Street's office was stifling as they crammed inside. Zvon had forgotten how hot Amber Pass was in comparison to Crown City. He'd acclimated to the more temperate climate there. He wanted to toss open the chief's windows and pray for a cooling breeze but then saw that the window stood open. He sighed.
Round street came in his face tight and blotchy with rage. 'I'm sorry. They were being so territorial with the files." His gaze tracked over to Arria who sat between Zvon and Marin.
"Did we introduce Cadre Mage Crow?" Marin asked. "She's assisting us on this case."
Round Street grunted, sitting at his desk, making the room feel even smaller. Zvon was glad Caeles and SIaq had gone back to the inn. There wasn't enough room for those already jammed into Round Street's office.
"Do you really think that these horrible killings have something to do with the two deaths in the Crown City?" Round Street leaned forward, worry deepening the lines around his mouth.

"And the two in Boggy Bottom (and see if there were more" Marin said. "The ones in Boggy Bottom were the earliest with the least amount of mutilation but the others, let's just say that it seems unlikely that we could have two different killers removing the breasts and uteri of women."
Round Street scowled. "I worked with my detectives on those cases. It was horrific. What could he possibly want.?"
"Women dead," Arria muttered.
Zvon glanced at her, hating to see such fury there even thought he felt it himself.
I DO have some good news. I found one of those missing Buffy stories in an ancient yahoo group. It's very hard to search because it keeps going 'error has occured.' Now it's an html mess but I can fix that! Also found that Ceremony of Innocence is a mess in my file. I remember now that that one had conversion errors and all sort of nonsense and it's missing shit just mid-sentence. THankfully the non-erotic version is on FFN so I can rebuild most of what might be missing. What a pain in the ass.
So if you want me I'll be over here in the corner, depressed.
