Since I didn't watch good chunks of S6-7 of Buffy, I'm not sure of this. Did Dawn ever find out how close Buffy came to losing custody of her? If so, do you know what eppy? Thanks.

ETA - Same deal with the Hyperion. In a boring move, Gavin was going to start nickle and diming Angel to death with the rental agreements to the hotel (because that would scare him) Did we ever go back to that? i.e. does Angel still rent or did they ever mention him buying the place? I know they gave up Cordy's place because they couldn't afford the rent and Gunn/Fred moved into the hotel to save on their own rentals.

And another Star Wars Meme. Kinda funny (takes pot shots at fans in general) However on dial up it'll take forever because of the huge midi files and pictures.

I don't think she ever did. At least if she did they didn't talk about it on screen.

*cackle* Now when I tell you you're evil you can't say anything at all.

There was an episode (I think near the end of season 5) where Dawns acting all uber brat and Buffy tells her, fine don't go to school, they'll take you away, that's what your principal called me in to talk about, only obviously, not exactly like that, but she was told that if she didn't do what Buffy said, such as go to school, then Buffy would be declared unfit.

okay thanks. I thought maybe she had mentioned it more as a threat but not in real detail

Later in S6 (Gone, I think) they had a social worker come in and tut-tut at Buffy's housekeeping, implying that Dawn would be removed if things didn't improve. But Dawn doesn't seem to know (or if she knows, doesn't care) about this later threat.

Thanks. This helps. I'm thinking my Dawn will be a little shocked to learn just HOW bad things were

In answer to the Angel question... In the episode Carpe Noctum Lilah drops off a bunch of papers to Angel in order to one-up/counteract Gavin. But I think that has to do with zoning and coding for the hotel. Not sure if Angel ever officially buys it. That wasn't much help, sorry.

I didn't think so. I think the writers figured it was BORING and no one wanted to see Angel being defeated by building codes. Which works well for my purposes (Looking at the housing and trustfunds etc of the Reillys and realizing Connor's fake family HAD to be loaded)

exactly. They mentioned trust funds and that house in the woods in CA? I can't imagine the cost. SO in this new Dawn/Connor we're playing with that idea of the Reillys being loaded for bear

They never made it clear if Dawn knew anything about her custody situation. I would guess not, since she went merrily on shoplifting and sneaking out until mid-season-6. But you could probably wank that as more of Dawn acting out, too. She might have thought that if Buffy feared losing her, she might pay attention to her.

And I can't remember the Hyperion rent issue ever coming up agin, either, but I could be wrong about that. It could be that when Angel went missing, W&H gave that up, but it was pretty boring, so meh.

I think I'll wank it so as Dawn didn't quite grasp how close she came to foster care.

Yeah the rent stuff was dull. I just need it for a throw away line in my story so I think I'm good with what I have now thanks
