An award

I just won an award at the Lie to Me awards (now open for round 5. They have a huge amount of categories, something for everyone).

I won runner up for best Giles  for Transitive Nightfall of Diamonds. Set in the 70's and in NYC it's the last adventure Ripper, Ethan and Deidre have after the Eyghon fiasco.

Nice isn't it.

How come you always know about these fic award sites? I never know about these fic award sites. And even if I did, I'd pay no attention. I'm writing fic.

How come you always know about these fic award sites?

I have no life and you're right it takes time away from the writing. In fact a lot of time if you have dial up. (there's usually big graphics on their sites plus the bouncing all over your own archives)

So why do people always have to nominate themselves for these things? It would save me a lot of time if my many, many fans (*snerk*) searched the net for these awards and nominated me. Then I could concentrate on My Art.

Oh some people do that too. In fact, that's all the only way you can do it for some sites. (though most don't take script form) I get nominated by people I don't even know sometimes.

I nominate myself because I'm vain and more importantly I spent 20 odd years in paper fanzines where people spent all their time ooh and aaahing over the fan art and the stories...a few people would write and say cool. It's like finally someone sees what I can do and takes the time to tell me they actuallylike it
