But again thank all of you for your support and condolences. It means so much.

And I'm filled with regrets I didn't just do this yesterday. My reasons (the driving home so far) were valid but Kanda, after me taking him to the vet two days in a row, is now terrified I'll do it again (and of course he's right). So he runs every time he sees me.

I let him sleep in the room, such as either of us slept. Every time I moved he went and hid.

Tonight once he leaves my bedroom I'll have to lock the door. I can get to him in any other space here but there. If he's under the bed I'm unable to get him.

I'm trying to decide if I want my friend to drive me or not tomorrow.

You should probably let your friend drive you. It's good to have a friend when you're grieving, and it's a lot harder to drive with tears in your eyes.
