Putting this up way early as I'm too tired this dreary Monday to do any actual work yet and I only teach in the afternoon today. Hope your Monday is going well.



Technically I'm supposed to be building Sand Castles at the moment but my draft looks like a sand box in a sketchy park, probably with a lot of pee in it...

ETA - I was too busy going OMG Prodigal Son is on and then was too monkey minded by it to do much. I got 476 words on Come Undone. I wanted to finish it but it didn't happen. I also got 1 3 sentence fill done

Blessedly, I have the day off today and am about to go enjoy it because it's sunny and in the forties here, and in these parts, we don't take that for granted this time of year. :-)

I've worked on my novel planning today - after taking a break from it I'm reworking my ideas of the structure/plot so that I'm more likely to be able to finish it. So I wrote some things both on the plot and character stuff. I have a feeling I'm going to start writing an entirely new draft after a while, but that's okay.

Day 3 - 1067 words; 4 Torchwood double drabbles and some editing on a couple of fics for posting.

Mondays tend to be a bit slow, trying to come up with 4 ideas for the same prompt can be difficult, but it's something I've been doing for quite a while. I like the challenge it presents, thinking up different ways to use a prompt.

My sandbox is fine by now, but the darn castle needed to be rebuilt several times by now. Or, in other words, I'm on the fourth version of my first chapter/part/prologue/whatever. I _think_ I've found my narrative voice now, and at least that first part that looks like a keeper is about 1,2k already. Adding also 1k to my tally for today.

Day three - 130 words on the Caprice piece. I don't know where this is supposed to stop. I do know there is a third part that should go with these two pieces, but I don't yet know who is the focus or just what.

Today I opened an old Scrivener file I didn't remember. Eyeroll. Turns out it was stuff salvaged from a Nanwowrimo project. Still salvageable! I read through an unfinished story/chapter, looked at it for a moment, then wrote an ending that tied it all together and finished it.

That's not all it needs, but sheesh. I didn't know how to end it back then, but I do now? Obviously!

Anyway, a small success.
