And it's still too early for coherent thoughts on this. It looks like they're hitting the fast forward a bit on the Bright/Powell relationship. In a lot of ways I have mixed feelings. I like them as friends. Yes, if I shipped anyone with Malcolm it would be Dani. Edrisa is cute but they would be too awkward and she has no boundaries or filters, too much like his mother. Dani, on the other hand, has been his biggest support system. Her quiet acceptance of his issues, her telling him he's not broken beyond repair, her never asking him to be or act like something he's not. It's fascinating to watch it unfold. I don't want them to rush this. We can have a show without a relationship! I swear it's possible.

But if it goes to the ship, I'm good with it. I'm certainly better with Brightwell than I am with Gil/Jessica. I'm not really opposed to it but I don't think we need it. Jessica manipulates and drinks a bit much for someone like Gil. Also it might truly weird Malcolm out. Of course Martin is sure both relationships are real and already present and he's being a delightful shit about it. Swear if they don't renew this show...
