I've been writing this story in bits and pieces longhand, and it hasn't been getting much editing attention (I usually edit as I go, re-read + edit + new composition), so I took today's writing time to go back to the beginning and make an end-to-end editing pass. It's better for it, but there were a lot of stupid bits, and man my brain is fried from the effort.

That's how I usually do it too. Editing is hard on the brain I swear. Good on you for all the progress

Day 9 - 1139 words - a short fic for the challenge I didn't get around to yesterday, and a double drabble for my drabble community. I'm happy with that.

*sighs* I've spent a good chunk of the afternoon working on various bits of paperwork, work-related emails, updating grades, etc. It's just so tiring. I empathize with your own focus on work, work, work, and I hope you're also finding time and energy for writing.

I did manage to start on another little story from my personal prompts bingo card, this one a Vane-centric Black Sails fic. It's nice to be back to a character with whom I can better relate. ;-)

I've been working out an issue with world-building over the last couple of days, mainly to do with how a school in its own pocket universe gets its food, and I finally jotted some of it down today.

Day 9: lacking in both focus and time today, alas, so just 200 words on the WIP.

I wrote a couple hundred words on a smutty thing I had been stuck on. Very glad to have some progress and hopeful about carrying that momentum through the next few days.

Day 9 - file re-arranging and organizing, with a few words here and there, and a writeup for a project for my dad. Replies to comments, and 80-odd words on a snapshot/drabble.

Got 451 words in a stretch and have the first draft of a chapter completed. Now need to spend a lot of time editing it into something I can send my beta.

On day 8, I got only 34 words - to many other things going on. and on day 9, I got a bunch: 2463! I wrote a little new pairing ficlet.

Day Nine was mostly taken up by writing the Electric Challenge prompt that I turned in after quite a while of staring at it.

That quote is awesome! Go you for words being written, too! I wrote a lot yesterday myself, over 1,5k, and am now nearing the end of the story - in time, my extension ends tomorrow. It was miserable writing, though; fighting with a storm-induced migraine and the last vestiges of my food reaction, and everybody being strung up about the storm and all the sounds that came with it. It's been the worst we've ever had in that regard. During the night we also had another power outage for over two hours, just when I'd started to have a good bout of writing going. Thankfully, my notebook was nearly fully charged and I'd just brewed a pot of tea, so I managed to continue for a good bit.

Oh wow to the storm and the power outage but way to go in powering through all that and the illnesses. Good luck with finishing it by the extension
