No writing yet but I feel ready to stab my landlord so that has to count for something (they're running some tool off my electricity without telling me. I don't even know if I can unplug this or not)

Day 25 - a massive 1682 words on a challenge fic! Just got to edit and post it tomorrow, but I'm too tired to anything else today, even read, and I'm still a bit freaked by the massive spider I found in the bathroom earlier. It's safely contained to be evicted tomorrow when I can see what I'm doing, but I could have done without it. *shudders*

Yeah, I'm okay with small ones, but the big ones creep me out. It's been evicted, last seen scuttling for shelter in the garden. I try not to kill them.

I don't like to kill creatures that serve a useful purpose unless it's unavoidable.

Mosquitoes, greenfly, and vine weevil beetles and grubs, however, are fair game ;)

Outside I leave them be, inside they don't survive

I had to learn to deal with them when I was younger because my mum and sister were both terrified by them. Someone had to get rid of them when dad was out, and the task fell to me. These days I have empty plastic milk containers with screw caps I every room so if I see a spider I can quickly catch it before it can get away.

Brooms can make very effective weapons. You don't have to get too close.

I added 584 to the Bond/Q story tonight.

I THINK they're pumping the lake out from under my bedroom but this is a forever issue so are they knocking money off my rent to cover these charges?

I did some editing tonight, only about 100 net new words but got some stuff cleaned up so I'm happier with it.

I stopped watching news and reading news and began writing every chance I get. Also I rewatched Endgame and cried some so I have some decent numbers for the last few days.

Day 25: did edits on a couple sections of the complete draft WIP, but the net words there are 0, and I wrote 1,857 words on the other WIP.

A few 3SF fills and then a long piece that isn't ready for publication yet, and then a little in an open assignment. There's a lot taking up cognitive space now, so hopefully the writing comes easier when that goes.
