No one wants
Apr. 21st, 2020 10:06 pmto hear about my boring day of bleaching pans, putting 1001 stuffed animals back on the futon and doing work stuff so have this fun Goodreads meme I lifted from
aeris444. For reference I joined Goodreads in 2009 but I think it took me a little while to get to using it. I was using Shelfari more until it got too difficult with the dial up I had back then.
1. What are the five newest additions to your to-read list? (most of these are ones I wanted to win off Goodreads Giveaways)
Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse (this one I will definitely read)
All We Buried by Elena Taylor
Modern Witchcraft: Goddess Empowerment for the Kick-Ass Woman by Deborah
Blake
The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix
Deadly Sweet Tooth (Vintage Sweets Mysteries #2) by Kaye George
2.What are the five oldest additions to your to-read list?
Natural Witchery: Intuitive, Personal & Practical Magick by Ellen Dugan (I own this now but have never read it)
Finding Water: The Art of Perseverance by Julia Cameron (eh, no interest any more)
Black Cat, Volume 16 Kentaro Yabuki (lost interest in the series)
A Night in the Cemetery and Other Stories of Crime & Suspense by Anton Chekhov (It's mocking me from the book shelf)
The Tiger in the Smoke (Albert Campion Mystery, #14) Margery Allingham (this one is on the shelf in the other room)
3. How many books do you have listed as read? 1,686 well since I've been recording them. Some are from before 2009 (mostly series that I know I've read)
4. How many books are in your to-read-list? Oh lord, keep in mind a lot of this is me attempting to win crap on Goodreads but it's 5,271 books. I should just go thin that out but shrugs, it's not like it's hurting anything being there.
5. Are there any authors who are more heavily represented in your have read list? A crap ton of Japanese mangaka, C.S. Harris, Charlaine Harris, Jim Butcher, Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Kim Fielding and I'm sure a lot more but I don't see a way to sort on that key word.
6. Are there any authors who are more heavily represented in your to-read list? Oh probably but again I don't see how to sort on that. I'm sure Rebecca Roanhorse and Seanan MacQuire are in there.
7. How to do you sort your books? by genre. Manga, mystery and urban fantasy are my top three.
8. Do you participate in the 2020 reading challenge? Yes I set it low this year at 80 books as I've been in a reading slump.
9. Do you participate in any discussion groups? eh, I belong to a few but I used to participate more. I'm in the ultimate popsugar challenge and am a little more active there. I'm in the Sci-Fi and fantasy book club which I don't really do much with any more. She-Geeks ditto.
10. How many books have you read so far this year? 24 books. I'm behind.
11. How many books are in you currently reading? six
12. Do you write reviews? Do you read reviews? I always write them. I'm behind there too. I read them sometimes but not that often (mostly if I'm about to buy a book I read them)
13. Any other goodreads feature you use? not really I don't think other than the stats for things like this.
14. Do you follow any interesting authors or other people worth mentioning? I do but I wouldn't say they are interesting. I mean yes some of them are but they're interesting on Twitter not so much here
I found this today. Thought it was fun

Date: 2020-04-22 01:24 pm (UTC)I hear you on bleaching things. I don't know how many times I've had to clean out my kitchen towel drawer or flatware, and put it all through the washing machine/dishwasher. And then bleach the drawers. Such a pain. I hope it's all over for you now.

Date: 2020-04-22 03:31 pm (UTC)Ugh sadly no. I'm going to wal mart to buy some caulk because the back splash is leaking and all my pots and pans under the sink are covered in mold. LOTS of bleaching left
