The last time I packed an actual moving van it snowed 15 inches. This time (I'm about to go pack it) we're having rains that suggest building an ark would help. It hasn't rained in almost two weeks but today....screams. Well at least it's not 100 like it was yesterday

I thought so since I have to bust my butt on those classes. One is a very general bio for which I have nothing prepared and the other is very advanced physio...same deal since I was teaching intro to phys last semester

Oh gack. Though I think moving in 100 degree heat would be worse than moving in rain but damn is there a middle ground? You'd think.

Maybe you can float all the way to the new house :D

if this rain keeps up I might just float there

Well, we were moving in 100 degree heat and rain for a while there. *g*

yes but in AZ that's not too unexpected. In PA you generally don't see that kind of temp. So, was the rain hot?

Yep. No rain all summer, until the week we want to move things. Then it pours. Sigh.

"Hey, look! Dana's getting ready to move!"

"Yeah? I missed the notice!"

"It's not too late - you can still get in on all the fun!"

"Let's see, last time it was snow...before that heat! What can we do to mix it up?"

"A DELUGE!"

"Yeah, we haven't had one of those in ages!"

*god-like laughter that sounds ominously like thunder*

...only YOU, Dana.

I must plan to move myself the next time you move, you know. I can be sure that my weather will be perfect.

SOUTH, if I can help it. Or EAST. And far enough away that my sister won't want to come with me.

DANNY would be my supervisor. You know how much I'd love to have that Golden Retriever be my boss.

Smarter, yes. But I don't want to work for anyone I've trained, you know? It just gives off a bad karma.

Besides, I think it was arranged that I couldn't go back anyway, even if I applied. I sent two letters to people, one to my friends and one to the supervisors, explaining why I was leaving. Somehow, the one to my friends got sent up to the supervisors - you know, the one where I complained about "more work, less time to get anything done" and that sort of thing.
