That I didn't want to put in the depressive locked post.

For those of you who might want to register for the free (tips going to charity) Boroughs of the Dead virtual tour, they're doing it again this Saturday afternoon here. It's Leanna Renee Hieber again and she's very nice. (As I've said before, she's the one who has helped me) This one is Greenwich Village and Edgar Allan Poe. I'll be there. It is zoom. Yes I'm not keen on having it on my computer either but it is what it is.

And I got this anthology open call from [personal profile] bladespark (thanks) and I think it's a cool idea. It's a school of magic featuring people a certain TERF wouldn't probably want at hers. I am still working on who I might use but I DO want to do this. Check it out here. I do wonder if there will be rules for the magic (I might need to send an email) such as a healing spell that would regrow limbs (I'm thinking not since that could be seen as an ableism which would work for me as I would want to deal with that sort of disability as I worked with a lot of lower limb amputees for instance).

At Kroger's today, I did a bad thing. I bought half off lilies (like I have room for more poisonous plants) and a tiny half off orchid (boy orchids are ugly when not in bloom)

Oh and Mom had her lens replace secondary to a cataract and is doing well.

What if instead of regrowing lost limbs, people used adaptive magics? Like hover spells for when walking is too painful/not possible? Spectral hands for unsteady or lost hands? How bout a guide animal whose senses you can magically tap into (sight. hearing)? I'm with on that I think this anthology is looking more on creative ways for these characters to exist in a magical world without erasing their identify or disability.

I think that anthology is a great idea. And I am glad your mom is doing well.
