It's started finally

cornerofmadnessI finally sat down and started my damn Welsh research project. I see that really I have three papers in one. Very early holy water medicine that did of course stretch all the way to today. The medieval medicine part of it which was part I could do the actual research on (which will have to be this fall) and the bonesetters of Anglesy which should have more written about them than they do.

equalityauction, today is the last day to make an offer. I just can't right now (so I'll have to bid). I was going to do it until I was told I have to put all my classes online in two different ways. I can't do it since I have my fandom trumps hate stories to do and I have to say it feels a little weird that my current fandoms are rather exceedingly white (Buffyverse) or police procedural.
I am surprised my university put out some links and acknowledgement of Juneteenth. Happy, but surprised (especially given the very tepid letter the Republican president of our uni put out when the protests began. It didn't even address race, just 'the event.'
I broke my wip. Now I have to do a fix. Stupid story.
And I wanted to share this article about publishing and how the only thing that gets pushed by Black authors are books about Black pain but not joy, not SF, not urban fantasy etc. There's a lot to think about in this. Honestly I haven't read 90% of these books on Black pain, not because I'm uninterested in Black authors but rather utterly uninterested in contemporary fiction. Give me the genre.
