Pool Party

For my last day here, I knocked off work and went to my brother's with the parents. My brother, his wife and our parents were supposed to go to Mexico this year but well we all know what happened. So we had a next best thing to Mexico pool party. My SiL made dirty monkey cocktails, brother made mojitos and we spent hours in the pool. We ordered Mexican food. Mmmm chile rellenos and flan.

I might have gotten a bit too much sun which is unusual for me. My brother and SiL tried to convince me to get this blue eyed Himalayan kitten named Moose. He's so beautiful. I actually considered it.

I also wish I could have a house with a pool. I might sleep better because my god swimming in the heat is tiring.

I'm eating green olives with hazelnuts that ELD got me...theyre weird.

The only other thing I did all day was binge watch Midsomer Murders

My brother just got a pool. I haven't used it yet, but a swimsuit is in the car.

Glad you had a fun Mexicano Pool Party since Mexico was off the table.

Thanks so much. My brother's pool was supposed to be in last year but it didn't get done until like Sept. I'm glad he got it. Hope you get to enjoy your brother's

Yeah, my brother went with an above ground pool because all other options were already "sold out" until the fall. And a few weeks after he got his installed, even above ground pools were back-ordered.

If my brother has anything to say about it, I will! Hee!

Wow, that's something. My brother's is a small inground (that still cost a mind blowing amount)

My brother only got it because of COVID and the kids being home- I suspect a lot of people in the area are doing the same. But who knows.

And yeah, they are super expensive, even above ground ones!

Yeah that's why I about lost it when two people I know at work are trying to fill their pools in. I'm like why buy a house with a pool if you didn't want a pool...
