Because I'm sure you're fascinated
Aug. 10th, 2005 06:33 pmWith every step of my unpacking. I gave up on the CD/DVD stand which is going back to Wally World, half glued, half screwed and half broken. Holes aren't drilled. Dowel rods missing and/or snapped just by looking at them and glue I can pull apart just by turning the stuff over hours later...
Dish Network got here (kisses Radio Shack for being so helpful). IT's all set up 120 channels of shit I'll never watch. They had to drill a hole in the wall (god hope the landlord doesn't mind. Really its improving the value of his property. now it has a permanent dish thingie) They dig a hole, plant the dish cement it in and THEN check to see if it gets a signal (I'm thinking dudes, shouldn't that have been your first step.) They can't get better than 80% down here in the valley but where they first planted it it got 0% sigh. They had to dig up the cement and do it again. Then they hook up the VCR and everything goes blurry. I'm like damn, the cable must have snapped in the move. They cut me new cable and the world is right again.
Got the mattress pad on the futon...and it didn't save it. It's still miserably uncomfortable but I found the laundromat...15 miles away and dingie as hell. But it's behind the library... couch vs laundry...oh the torment.
Curves for Women is affordable as health clubs go...only no pool. Sob. I can only do water aerobics because of my shot knees and arthritis. I can work out on the machines but I want my pool. There's a Y in town...

Date: 2005-08-11 12:28 am (UTC)That was my plan for washing the clothes but seriously I can get the washer/dryer for 700$ which is probably only 100$ more than paying for a year at a laundromat
