They changed the Zoom meeting faculty meeting to face to face in the actual theater and not only do they expect us to eat lunch there (fuck that, I'll go to my office and eat) they want us to come to a get to know your professor dinner.

Nope. Sorry but nope. I'm high risk. I'm over 50, diabetic, asthmatic and I develop idiopathic vasculitis. I am NOT staying for 12 hours with two meals and then a movie after (socially distanced they assure me).

I'm out the moment the meeting is over. I'll bring a PB&J sandwich and someone else can have my place in line for our less than exciting lunch anyhow.

R: Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom? OKay I'm talking canon here (because god knows that there is plenty of fanfic, some of it mine, that has it changed from platonic to something more)

Buffyverse - Willow and Buffy which in a way is such an unlikely friendship but I truly enjoyed it (at least until S6-7 did so much to dismantle everything about all the characters). Also probably my absolute favorite in the Buffyverse is Angel and Faith. In Angel, Faith found the first man to believe in her, to see her as something other than a sex object and was an anchor point for her to turn her life around.

Fullmetal Alchemist - Maes Hughes and Roy Mustang, hands down their relationship was fun, touching and it shaped and informed so many lives during the series

Lucifer - I've only seen 1-3 at this point but Lucifer and Chloe and Lucifer and Elle and I might even like the latter a bit more because there isn't all the UST. It's truly a friendship

Prodigal SOn -The way Malcolm Bright comes to the team friendless and unwanted and ends up with such wonderful friends in Edrisa, Dani and JT is just one of the best parts of the show. Edrisa was always a fan but watching Dani and JT who did not want Bright there move to panicked when he was taken and what came after was amazing.

Yeah I wish I could. I just might see if I can skip it. I missed the last one too (I ended up in the ER that day)

I did like Angel for the most part but he was written inconsistently
