Tried to go to the 135th annual bean dinner today in Rio Grande. Either it was in the afternoon or they moved it (Where I couldn't say RG is tiny) I went for dinner and it was supposed to be on the Bob Evans Farm area...and it wasn't. No signs, no smells of beans, no open fires (they were supposed to be cooking them in cauldrons over open pits) You can't hide stuff like this so unless it was inside the Bob Evans restaurant (which had no appeal to me) it didn't happen. Not that I was dying to have beans mind you but I can't resist festivals or things that have been a tradition for more than a century. Sigh, I shaved my legs for nothing.

Had a weird dream last night. I dreamt I had a right hemisphere hemorraghic cerebral vascular accident (in other words a stroke that paralyzed my left side). It started like my migraines and then my face when numb like novacaine had been injected and I couldn't move my left arm or leg. I tried tell them I was having a stroke but I couldn't talk and they were trying to give me aspirins which would make the bleeding worse but i couldn't tell them not to.

It was followed by my usual wake up NOW and go pee dream. This is the usual running around in a public rest room where all good toilets are out of order and/or too gross to touch and the only ones left are all open to the public with like clear doors or are part of long benches with no walls (don't ask me!) I just assume this dream is my brain's way of saying yoo-hoo, it's urgent, get the hell up.

Hee! I thought I was a freak for always having those exact same toilet dreams, but apparently it's really common :-) Glad it's saying something prosaic about bodily functions rather than something really murky about the subconcious, heh.

Oh good I'm not alone. Yeah as I'll be shortly telling a class, there's two sphincters that keep the bladder close, an involuntary one and a voluntary one. I think those dreams are how the sleeping brain makes sure that voluntary one stays shut.

And on a totally different note, I got a few more pages on your story done. Maybe when I take a break from powerpointing a lecture I'll get more done.
