Let's just talk books and fandom today

I did go to the zoom meeting and the thing I volunteered for is 25 weeks of class on best teaching practices and I get a certificate in the end. Um Why but on the other hand it DOES look useful. The rest of the day was laundry and test making.

So let me rec a few things.

I took one look at the Popsugar reading challenge and thought meh. Also I'm getting a little tired of reading to a challenge and not reading just for fun. It's gotten too much like a chore. But just in books lying around near the bookshelves I found like 40 books I want to read anyhow that fit. So....I'm giving myself permission to read what I want and if I don't finish who the hell cares? It's not like someone is going to give me a reward for this. That is going to be my goal for all my reading challenges. I gave up on worrying about the literary escape ones because to get all 50 states I stopped reading fantasy/SF and I'm like WHY? I still do it but I get whatever I I get, no obsessing.
