Having a scary night

My blood sugar went into crisis tonight, it's nearly 400. I've taken a lot of insulin and I'm watching close. No I don't currently need to go to the hospital but if it doesn't respond to the insulin...

It's being a rough week. I've got a lot of the online stuff done, I helped a colleague's research student, found out DM who has cancer is now hospitalized with Covid, a former colleague had a stroke.

Mom said a lot of stuff has started arriving back home for the holidays. That at least makes me happy. My friend flippy sent me some jasper earrings that she won in a charity auction. They are big but they are also lovely. I'll have to get a picture.


I'm THIS close to finishing the dark fic. I've done zero <lj user="fandomtrees> stories. Sigh. Tomorrow I want to work on nothing but the Buffy story. I HAVE to get it finished. God, why is this thing so stuck. I seriously miss the heyday of the fandom when I had a lot of sounding boards. I'm too sleepy for anything more thanks to those sugars.

Does stress impact your blood sugar? Because it sounds like you've been dealing with a lot of stress lately.

Thanks. It could be but I think it's an ovarian cyst because other body parts are acting up

Oh ow. I had no idea they could have that effect.

THey can put out estrogen and progesterone which in high quantities result in things like gestational diabetes
