At the local farmers market/greenhouse. With me, my favorite thing to give is a food basket filled with weird food stuffs, not super weird but stuff you can't easily find in the grocery story, quince jelly, pasta types you can't find outside an Italian deli etc. Of course most of my friends don't cook....

So I went running through the store tossing things in my basket including elderberry wine (that's mine) and cheese bread (also mine) and so many goodies I don't know where to begin. The yellow lab (one of the farm dogs) followed me around and wanted outside. I put her out and another came in. I bought so much I earned a free little poinsetta and when I got down there, she was waiting for me to let her in the greenhouse.

I also attended another Boroughs of the Dead thing, reading Victorian Christmas ghost stories. That was fun.
