Heading back to OH tomorrow. I have SO much to do that I'm thoroughly overwhelmed. i don't even know what to tackle next. I did manage to finish writing up the very first draft of my paper. The end of it looks like notes versus something worth reading but I'm going to set it aside a week or two and then reorder and work it.

Mother let me be unsupervised in Costco. My wallet is sad and my SUV will be sad tomorrow hauling it back to OH tomorrow.

In your own space, create your own challenge. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I have a few challenges for you all, two creative and one for anyone to try.

1. I'm asking those who love the outdoors to post a picture on your page. A picture that YOU took. Just a pic. No description. The goal is to regain peace and harmony without negativity. Please copy the text, put a picture on YOUR page, and let's look at these beautiful pictures. (got this from my friend Vesta)
Here's mine.

2. You can check out a bunch of writing prompts here. If one of them inspires you give it try

3. Try something new, a new reading genre, a new tv show, a new food, a new hobby. A lot of us did that in 2020, one of the few silver linings of the whole year. It's good to stretch ourselves.

The last pictures I posted were owl pellets. Not necessarily beautiful, but I was delighted to find them. Most nights I just hear the hoo-hooing racket outside my window.

I don't find them often. It was an interesting marker of where our great horned owls spend time, because I mostly see them roosting in the ritual meadow, and this is literally the opposite corner of the yard from there. But I know why they like this location: a big old walnut tree overlooking 3 hunting areas.

Currently we have great horned owls, red-tailed hawks, kestrels, and vultures in the immediate area. We used to have barn owls but I haven't seen one in years.

Great challenge! That photo is gorgeous. Kind of haunting. Is that moonlight on the water?

Great photo! Very haunting and mystifying.

I played along, sorry I didn't get around to commenting on yours first.

I just tried a new TV show- Clone Wars. I'm watching a few episodes to fit into the Mandalorian canon, but I will also consider it for viewing on its own.

That photo is awesome! My mind now goes "Moon over Bourbon street" without me knowing how it made this connection. LOL

Just filled your first challenge, what a lovely idea! I want to do this repeatedly; also due to some comments I got on recent pics I posted. There seems to be a genereal appreciation these days for showing beauty and serenity (and cuddly furries *g*) which i can understand very well.
I also inadvertedly already answered your third challenge: two weeks ago I read a published novel by a writing-pal-around-three-corners and got totally sucked into Japanese culture of the Edo period. I've never been interesed in Japanese culture of any age before, so this is totally new to me. I follwed it up with re-watching Shogun with Siljan, a show we'd both liked as teens and which was fun to re-watch particularly after learning that the scenerey and costumes etc. were more or less historically correct, am currently also reading the novel after learning that it was one of the first written by a Westerner but from an Easterner's perspective, and startedt to dabble a bit in Japanese on duolingo. *g* I don't know how long this keeps, but it's rather fun right now.

What a lovely challenge! I got it from a friend who got it from a friend and this eventually led me here, and I just wanted to say, I did it, and I love it. All the outdoors pics! <3
