Nine little dancing snowflakes
Jan. 18th, 2021 09:57 pmFell on my car going 40 miles to get to my dentist (he only comes to my town a couple times a week and since I had MLK day off...) I have no root canal. He wants to see if the teeth will calm their own ass down which I'm okay with. I DO have my new crown. I hate my top crowns because it takes a couple days for them to feel like they won't just pop off. I think some goo got stuck between my teeth. gah.
Classes start tomorrow. SOmeone say a prayer for me.
In your own space, brag about yourself. Tell us what things you've done that you're proud of; the things that make you the wonderful person you are. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Let's see, work wise, I'm proud that I made it through medical school, that I picked myself up after I lost my career to injury and now guide others into medicine as a professor. I'm proud of being a published author (if you're curious just DM me). I'm proud of being the Madog Welsh fellow a couple of times. I'm even proud of picking up hiking again.
Fandom wise, let me share a few things I'm proud of
Prodigal Son Fandom: Come Undone my most kudoed story now with a fresh cover from Isabelle Disraeli thanks this challenge! Check it out!
Boston Series which includes several stories including If These Scars Could Speak. which is a novel
the Ties that Bind series It's a canon divergent series where Martin Whitly does NOT rethinking murdering his ten year old son and instead tries it (so yes harm to children though Malcolm does survive)
the Brightstar series This is a Prodigal Son/Lucifer crossover with a little smut
Angel the Series/Buffy the Vampire Slayer The Hyperion series This includes Hyperion's Son a novel length canon divergent story
Fullmetal Alchemist The Sorrows Series Oddly enough I far prefer the Brotherhood anime to 2003 but this is a series of long (one is more or less novel length) canon divergent 2003 FMA where the brothers return to Amestris and they bring Earth! Maes with them.

Date: 2021-01-19 03:35 pm (UTC)You certainly have a great list of achievements, losong your career must have been so hard but great that your guiding new students into the profession. Many people my have turned away instead of embracing a change of direction.
Your stories aren't within any of my fandoms but I'll still have a look at them. I'm always happy to read and enjoy a good story even if I know nothing about a fandom. It's like reading a new book!
Thank you for sharing.
