cornerofmadnessToday is all about writing community pimping.
But first if you DO mail me something other than a card, if it tells you its there, PM me. It's a HUGE facility and one thing is already lost.

I have so many of those old Buffy stories to finish. And I have NONE of them on my computer or flash drive so I looked at FFN (which I've heard rumored isn't getting the support it used to so if you're like me and have lost stories that might be there you might want to download.) and there was only 2 WIPS that I could see and one is too complicated. The other Stronger than Death a Connor in Quor-Toth story that would only need 1800 words to get to 7K and it's 2/3rds done. I'm not even sure why I never finished.
I might also toss in one of my Prodigal Son stories in there too just kinda hoping for art.
And then there's the porny dick or treat You have to write your stories and title them with a Pokemon move. Simple enough if you are in the mood to write some erotica and earn badges for it.
I ran across this challenge as it wrapped up last year and I thought OMG this sounds like a fun time. You use some of the cheesiest Harlequin romance summaries (mix it up if you want to write LGBT or not do a complete AU) and write a story. Unconventional Courtship Oh God, some of the absolute misogynism in these summaries. It burns. I did find four I thought I could noodle for Prodigal Son. I won't do all four in theory (but they don't have to be long and you can sign up all the way til Mid June so I might do one and then tackle another). Which would you like to see me try?

Captain Merritt Shelton – Captain of the luxury airliner
Captain Fortune Roth – Captain of the trade airship, Free Sky
Rosemary Norwood – murdered socialite
And here have a
Azzura tilted her face up to the sky she was named for. Above her billowed smoke from Pittsburgh’s steel mills, thinner here than along other parts of the river. Before her was the vast docking port for the airships. She preferred to have both feet on the ground but remembered the trip with her mother, brother and grandmother from Italy as they immigrated to follow her father, a stone mason. They were people of the earth. When airship pirates had attacked their transport ship, she showed them what her father had taught her and her brother about swinging a hammer. She might have been ten but she was strong. That strength, determination and bravado had brought her here today.
“Miss Sciarra.”
Azzura twisted on heel, knowing that voice. She stared up at Detective Janowski who smiled faintly at her. They had locked horns before.
“What brings you here today?” His smile didn’t waiver but neither did it shine in his blue eyes.
“I suspect the same thing that has you standing here.” She didn’t want to antagonize him. Joseph Janowski was at least fair to her in their past encounters. Most police were not kind to Pinkertons in general and even less kind to a woman Pinkerton. Janowski wouldn’t get in her way much so long as she afforded him the same consideration.
His pale gold eyebrows rose. “The airliner hired Pinkertons?”
She shook her head. “The Free Sky hired me.”
He thinned his lips but nodded. “Then you want us to work together?”
