Today brought a slew of new PT exercises so here's hoping they help me get stronger. Also one helluva storm coming in right now so let me move on to the meme
The last book I read

The Snowdonia Killings by Simon McCleave, Just a Matter of Time by Charity Tahmaseb and Spock, Messiah by Theodore R. Cogswell, Charles A. Spano Jr.

The Star Trek book is pure dreck (read it for the Popsugar challenge oldest book in the TBR. I've had this since the 80s). Go read fanfic. It's better and less with the 70s casual racism and god the misogyny in this. Yikes.

The Snowdonia Killings was good. Made me miss northern Wales in all the best ways. Ruth (the DCI) is a bisexual detective looking for a calmer life than London. Nick (one of the Welsh detectives) is a drunk in search of his sober.

Just a Matter of time is an interesting YA short story about time being literally stolen from one person to benefit another and how to stop it but the short format had it feeling rushed.

What I'm Reading Now
The End of All Things by John Scalzi which is book 6 in the Old Man's war series which I thought I had read some of but haven't (go me) I got it from the author at the Ohioana book fest a few years back. It's weird (and seems to be either 4 interconnected novellas or some serialized novel finally collected into one) but it's engaging enough.

You've Got Tail by Renee George a paranormal mystery about as if the title isn't a dead giveaway a town of shifters. So far it's eye rollingly bad. Sunny the protagonist is asked to Peculiar MO to go halvies on a diner with her BFF Chavvah who goes missing. It opens with her finding Chav's brother naked on the diner floor (and can't stop talking about how hot Babel is) and everyone telling her to get out of town. It telegraphs the shifter nature like a lighthouse beacon and it's just stupid instead of funny. I'm waiting to get to my inner okay you can DNF it but still count it for your challenges limit.

What I'm Reading Next Monster in the Box by Ruth Rendell I think since it's here and I'm about out of books to read without sending Mom to the library.
