Why is there nothing good in this year

cornerofmadnessToday was horrible between grating along with parents, to work deciding to ask us to consider shouldering more classes (sorry can't) to me kicking my cane. I hurt my toe and would have fallen on my bad leg if not for me grabbing hold of a chair. It really hurts now.
There is bad news I can't even discuss yet (eventually but not today)
I had a bunch of 1800 numbers I had to call but for some reason the parents' land line wouldn't make ANY 1800 calls out. I tell dad about two and he looks 'no haven't blocked them.' Later I tell him two more and he is like fine I'll unblock them all so you'll shut up about it. Um what? How will that help (and how is this my fault). He calls his service and it is a problem on their end.
As for me I make some of them on my cell phone to a) inform Blue Cross/Blue Shield NO this is not worker's comp injury you have to pay for it sorry b) called medicare three different departments about the Texas Dana STILL on my account. They decide it's not their issue but Social Security (I'll deal with that tomorrow)
We all also had to be up at 7 AM for the internet people to come and give us high speed internet. Then they send an email and changed it to 1 pm. And when he gets here it's just what we suspected. The customer service people have no fucking clue what they're talking about. They insisted nothing would need to be done other than hooking it up outside. Bull crap. It needed complete rewiring of the house. It'll take days. They pushed it off until August because we're getting company this week and mom and I are gone all next week and then dad's having catarct surgery.
Hell I was catching up on the Flash and my favorite character left (I knew he was going to but man what a day to watch that). Even the book I'm reading is deeply disappointing.

ETA - I also crashed that toe into my walker and decided best I sit down. Then my blood sugar dropped. I'm so done.
