Watch Me Do the Arrogant Author Strut
May. 22nd, 2004 02:39 pmWell I deserve it. I won NINE, count 'em nine awards from the Spike Threw the Heart Awards which will be open tomorrow for nominations. So THANK YOU to Sara and the judges. I'm jazzed. In no particular order my winning fic's are
Blood Drops on Rose Petals my Dawn/Connor story which I believe has now surpassed Psychedelic Butterfly as my most winning story. It won Master award (for best overall fic), and the Fire (action) award.
blaar_rosir helped edit this so tell her what a great job she did too.

Thernody, my one true songfic about Buffy writing Giles to tell him about her and Spike (one of my few Spuffy stories for that matter) won Top Slayer (best Buffy) and runner up for Sing my Heart Out (songfic)

Untamed, my Darla/Angel historical piece won runner up in the Fallen Angel (Angel centric) category

Ceremony of Innocence, my Buffy/Angel crossover (one of my true babies. I loved this thing as dark as it is) won runner up for the Sinister (best dark) awards

Armor, my Cordy post Xander break up won runner up for the Good things come in Small Packages (short fic) award

Salinity, a Fourth of July fic where Connor goes to extreme measures to make sure Gunn & Fred don't find Angel won runner up in the Tis the Season (holiday) category

and last but certainly not least, Dream within a Dream a Post-Chosen/Home crossover fic where Angel has to deal with Dawn's new boyfriend being his bespelled son won runnerup in the Unfinished Symphony (WIP) category

Aren't they lovely? Go tell Sara so.

Date: 2004-05-22 02:09 pm (UTC)Merchant city. sorry I gave you the wrong name. MIller, Virigina and Vincent streets are prime in this area. Does that help?

Date: 2004-05-22 02:29 pm (UTC)Merhcant City is in the City Centre, towards the east side of it. St.Vincent Street is near George Square though, not actually in the Merchant City, and I presume thats what they mean as Ive never heard of Vincent Street. Merchant City has all been redeveloped now from what it was, its mostly luxury flats and over priced shops now.

Date: 2004-05-23 02:15 pm (UTC)Yep, we would. Actually, when I was writing that question I considered writing a 'novel-long' option just for you. *hugs*
And it's going great... most authors there I know, but some I don't and I'm so, so, so excited about this! I'm hoping for 50 (yes, fifty), but I'll be happy with 20.

Date: 2004-05-23 02:24 pm (UTC)50, yep you're nuts. Oh and if you have a non-ficathon wip lying around think about entering it in my new ficathon for finishing those naughty wip's that just won't get done.

Date: 2004-05-23 02:33 pm (UTC)50, yep you're nuts.
*nodnodnod* Yes, I am. Yes, I am. *g*
I considered it, but I only have 3 wips. One is Sailor Moon, the other will end in tears and probably bring several death threats to my doorstep and the third is my most loved baby which I'll end when I'm fifty... *sighs* Talk about novel length plots!

Date: 2004-05-23 04:11 pm (UTC)But HMWR, that one has an interesting concept. The only problem is that the end smells like tragedy and that I need to read AtS transcripts to get Gunn and Wesley somewhat better.
You DO know that you're making me curious about this WIP of yours, don't you? :-P

Date: 2004-05-23 04:37 pm (UTC)Well if you're really curious I could mail you details. It's post AtS finale and it might squickyou out.
