Well I deserve it. I won NINE, count 'em nine awards from the Spike Threw the Heart Awards which will be open tomorrow for nominations. So THANK YOU to Sara and the judges. I'm jazzed. In no particular order my winning fic's are

Blood Drops on Rose Petals my Dawn/Connor story which I believe has now surpassed Psychedelic Butterfly as my most winning story. It won Master award (for best overall fic), and the Fire (action) award.

[livejournal.com profile] blaar_rosir  helped edit this so tell her what a great job she did too.

Thernody, my one true songfic about Buffy writing Giles to tell him about her and Spike (one of my few Spuffy stories for that matter)  won Top Slayer (best Buffy) and runner up for Sing my Heart Out (songfic)

Untamed, my Darla/Angel historical piece won runner up in the Fallen Angel (Angel centric) category

Ceremony of Innocence, my Buffy/Angel crossover (one of my true babies. I loved this thing as dark as it is) won runner up for the Sinister (best dark) awards

Armor, my Cordy post Xander break up won runner up for the Good things come in Small Packages (short fic) award

Salinity, a Fourth of July fic where Connor goes to extreme measures to make sure Gunn & Fred don't find Angel won runner up in the Tis the Season (holiday) category

and last but certainly not least, Dream within a Dream a Post-Chosen/Home crossover fic where Angel has to deal with Dawn's new boyfriend being his bespelled son won runnerup in the Unfinished Symphony (WIP) category

Aren't they lovely? Go tell Sara so.

This is terrible, Ive never heard of it, terrible as I used to work for a historical tourist attraction in Glasgow.... I know about late 19th early 20thC life in a Glasgow temenent, but apparenly not a lot about much else.

I also wouldnt be much good at the French, despite recieving top grades in it at school, Ive forgotten basically everything, except the lyrics to Lady Marmalade. :)

Yeah I hear you. Year upon years of spanish and my family being native italian speakers and all I can do is swear.

Merchant city. sorry I gave you the wrong name. MIller, Virigina and Vincent streets are prime in this area. Does that help?

oh yea, that's much better. :)

Merhcant City is in the City Centre, towards the east side of it. St.Vincent Street is near George Square though, not actually in the Merchant City, and I presume thats what they mean as Ive never heard of Vincent Street. Merchant City has all been redeveloped now from what it was, its mostly luxury flats and over priced shops now.

Yeah that's a shame. That's why I can't get a good idea of what the homes looked like though Fodor's says some exist still (good ol' Fodors, no lie if you want to do research a good place is Fodor's or Frommer's travel guides. They give brief histories and you can take it from there)
