Yay, I forgot to warn the usual crew I was doing this but hey if you want, just join us.
I will say I will probably schedule the posts for earlier in the day and fix the tallies in the evening if that's okay with everyone. I'm still recovering from my injuries so sitting down to do this is tricky especially having resumed working in front of the classroom.
Any how here we go

What is the Write Every Day challenge?
Write Every Day is just what its name says: We challenge each other to write every, single day. Our goal is to encourage one another and provide the accountability and/or motivation that some of us find very useful in keeping the words flowing.

Who can participate?
Everyone is welcome! We’re an open-minded, nonjudgmental group of people who enjoy writing.

What do I have to do?
We’ll post each day with a little bit about our writing and a running tally of participants. All you need to do is drop by the comments to let us know how you’re doing. Please know that you are never obligated to check in. Also, if you'd like to comment on someone else's comment but aren't checking in for yourself, that's perfectly fine too. We're really easygoing 'round here, and conversation is absolutely encouraged.

Is there a word limit or quota?
Nope. Write as little as an “alibi” sentence (just what it sounds like—a sentence you write to say you’ve written, an alibi for the day, as it were) or as much as you’d like. All word counts are welcome!

Is there any restriction on the kind of writing I can do?
Absolutely not! Fanfiction, original fiction, screenplays, blog posts, meta, academic writing, morning pages, editing, letter-writing, nonsense poems: If you can write it, it counts!

Do I have to participate all the time?
No way! You can come and go at your pleasure.

New to WED? Got any questions? just ask

So, what are you goals? Do you have some? Just winging it? I have an original short story I must finish (and might not), a long Prodigal Son story to finish, a Fandomtrumpshate story to do and I got involved in writing episodes for a virtual series so I have all the balls in the air.

Hi! Thanks so much for hosting!!! <3 <3 <3 (However/whenever you want to do the tallies is 100% good for me. :-)

I just posted my goals for September to my journal: I'm aiming for half a dozen treats for a gifting fest, a draft of a zine fic, and to finish the two longer WIPs I've been working on for the last two months. I made definite progress on the WIPs in August, so I think it's possible (so long as I don't wear out a) my beta with fest treats, or b) my arms, which are a bit achy today).

And it's September here already, so if it's okay, I'll check in for the 1st:

Day 1: I wrote my weekly update post and scribbled edits all over a printout of a fest treat. Am hoping to type up the edits today, too, but I don't want to make my arms any worse, so I'll see how I go. Pretty sure the treat needs another section to feel finished, too, darn it. ;-)

Hi! Thanks for hosting! :D (Do the posts/tallies however works best for you.)

September goals are:
- Edit/post sub!ZZS story
- Write masq fic (1-2k; I don't need to do this in Sept but it's easier if I do.)
- Write most of what I need for [community profile] ficinabox (like... 7k?)
- Some number of things for [community profile] guardian_wishlist
- Probably another section of [community profile] fffx fic (~2k?)

Day 1: Editing! I'll do some meta stuff later, and hopefully some first-draft-product stuff for something or other too.

I've never done this before, but since I've started writing again, I'm gonna give it a go! *g*

My goals are to a) post my fandomgiftbox fic on time, b) write more of my 'Clint meets' prompts, c) write some fills for ROK's Fall Bingo challenge, and in the longer term, d) fill some prompts for [community profile] smallfandomfest when that opens and e) actually post a fic for [community profile] smallfandombang this round!

Day 1: I did a re-read/edit of my fandomgiftbox fic, as well as a re-read/edit of the fic I posted earlier today (after I typed it in), so added a few words to those. I also have hopes to start writing another fic for the fall bingo challenge this evening. *fingers crossed*

Thank you for hosting! I've been very busy and haven't checked in lately, but I'll try again in September. :)

My goals: finish a bunch of Guardian Wishlist fics, ideally while not falling behind on other stuff. *flails*

Good luck for that! I know you've got so much on your plate, it amazes me how you juggle everything.

Heh, isn't Yoda just right! ^^ Thank you so much for hosting this month! I hope it won't be too much of a chore right now. I don't mind when the posts are up or when the tallies are put in, just keep it doable for yourself! *hugs*
Today I wrote 700ish words for my current Drawer WIP plus a few hundred words of nonfic.

September and I'm back to school. *sighs* But, I did manage to add 496 words to the outline for "The Blacksmith's Daughter" duology.

My plans for this month include finishing the outline, editing "Snake Riders," and doing another pass through the novel I finished in May before sending it out to a pro editor. And, yes, I have a feeling I will also start writing the duology. Because I'm cracked, obviously. ;-)

Day 1: 3,001 words for me today, omg. lol this is NOT my usual productivity level, I'm trying to bank words so I can still meet my 400 words a day monthly average even while writing only alibi sentences during my vacation next week. Not gonna break my two-year writing streak this month, no way!

Thanks for hosting!

Day 1 - wrote a basic (bullet point) outline for a pitch for a new project.

This month is going to be very busy for me ... basically the projects that I am working on this month are:
1. Feature thriller screenplay which I have written a draft of but need to finish rewriting my first draft by next week
2. The one-page pitch (for another feature thriller) I worked on tonight which needs to be done by EOD tomorrow (and if things go well may become a larger project over the course of the month)
3. Doing another pass on the second half of the pilot I finished writing in May (which needs to be done by the 20th so I can submit it to a contest)
4. Writing an entirely new pilot
5. I'm starting a writing class halfway through the month that runs for ten weeks (every Monday and Tuesday night) so I guess also whatever I'll end up needing to write for that

... plus this week I am finishing up training my replacement at my current job, and then on Tuesday I start a new job.

I'm a little stressed looking at this list, but also excited.

1 Sept - 250 words on my not yet finished, deadline barreling down at me Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang stories. (yes, plural. 3 in fact, though one is done.) One of the two left is nicely over the minimum, but the story isn't finished. The other is about half way to minimum, and unlikely to be much more than that.

Hi! I'm Jay, thanks for hosting this month!

For Sept, I am planning on working my way through my two Mass Effect WIPs (I'm covered with shiny new fandom zeal!), and finishing the last chapter on my Call Me By Your Name Gilded Age fic. I'm also doing Remix revival, which is due month end. It's going to be busy, but I'm looking forward!

In other fannish news, I'm excited to finally get to commission in my new fandom, and also need to remind myself to watch for Yuletide noms!
